Angeles City, Philippines; and Seoul and Taegu, Korea.
Stephanie's jazz-drummer father started her in piano lessons at age 6. From that beginning, Stephanie's interests have spread to many different aspects of music. Whether she was taking classical piano lessons; singing while her father played twelve string guitar in talent shows; singing in choirs; playing roles including lead in musicals; or playing tenor saxophone in symphonic bands; choreography; or DJing her college radio station; Stephanie grew up immersed in music.
Stephanie became fascinated by the San Francisco dance scene in Washington, DC where she returned to after college and finally moved to San Francisco in 2002.
Stephanie's style combines thumpy rhythms, goth key signatures, heavy-duty bass, provocative melodies, and serious jazz attitude. Stephanie's sets range from deep house to tech house to minimal and techno. Stephanie's strength lies in her wide range of musical tastes. Stephanie is always riding the line between thump & groove.
Stephanie's production company, Zenomena Productions, is currently responsible for throwing several regular parties: Funkentanzen, Funk N Groov, and TekAndHaus. Funkentanzen flies in guest DJs; while TekandHaus and Funk N Groov mostly highlight local talent.
